Card Check Rules & Pelosi Don't Mix

BO & Pelosi's analysis of the biggest net change in the number of House seats by either party since 1948 is not that it was a repudiation of their policies of the past two years but rather a call for the new Congress & BO to work together. In contrast Boehner & McConnell's analysis of the election results is that the GOP has a mandate to repeal Obamacare, end overspending & job killing policies, & ultimately work to deny BO a second presidential term. Their fallback is to do such things as defunding or delaying programs like Obamacare. Boehner says that as new Speaker he will insist that every bill must specify the source of authority under the Constitution in order for the bill to be introduced.

Now I for one will only be too happy to see these two positions completely play out. If neither side blinks in the next two years America will have the clearest choice possible in November 2012 between a free enterprise way of living or plain style socialism (for starters).

I do not know one Tea Partier who says they voted to have Congress & the White House negotiate & "get along" which in the case of Republicans too often means selling out their stated principles.

Pelosi intends to run for House Minority Leader & since this caucus is now more statist than ever after Tuesday's election she probably will win in the upcoming meeting of the House Democrats.

We all know that one of the biggest frustrations the Democrats had the past two years was not passing union card check legislation that would do away with the current secret-ballot voting by employees whose work places are targeted for unionization. Under the legislation a simple check of a card by over 50% will bring in the union.
