He would cut the structural size of government by closing five cabinet departments – Education, Commerce, Energy, Interior, and Housing and Urban Development. It is nonsense to even consider cutting $1.2 trillion or any amount over ten years. First - you can't strap future congresses with fake cuts you make now. So it's Ron Paul that would demonstrate that we are serious about fixing our fiscal house and he is ignored by the media. His son, Senator Rand Paul, explains that if we were to freeze federal government spending for the next ten years, we would save $9 trillion and not the mere $1.2 trillion goal of the unconstitutional Super Committee. Again you can't bind future congresses and so this is a solvable problem but as of right now it seems in 10 years we will have an additional $9 trillion on top of the $15 trillion national debt we just passed this week.

Our elected reps do not have the spine to do what's right for our country - no character or integrity. That is really the problem and it's very sad. They are feckless.ECJrnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3776665703590564248.post-64368103948880725422011-11-16T23:16:17.470-05:002011-11-16T23:16:17.470-05:00I think Mr Landsburg done a very good article on s...I think Mr Landsburg done a very good article on showing how government does spending cutsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
