We still have some time but window of opportunity is dwindling. Why? Our foreign creditors are becoming increasingly weary about financing our debt. That has been becoming an increasingly poor strategy to preserve capital. Already we have reports that India has been paying for part of imported oil in gold, not US dollars.

Let’s focus on O’Reilly comment that “half the country is buying that (BO strategy debt providing freebies).” Once our creditors no longer “buy” this debt growing strategy, US dollar will collapse along with the US economy. If more than 50% understand this and we can get by with creditors financing our debt until November (will we have 9 more months??), then we may have an opportunity to save our economy and country. That is why I educate as many people as I can about where our economy is headed. Little by little I am doing my part in changing the “mindset”, following up on your request few months ago to identify few statists and try to persuade them to change their statist support.

And again - I think our best bet may be a brokered convention so we many choose a true economic free market capitalist thinking conservative, as our economy needs quick and drastic rework.

Keep up your great work.THnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3776665703590564248.post-27181190091061693662012-02-19T19:11:27.930-05:002012-02-19T19:11:27.930-05:00Doug - Occasionally, your words are blanketed with...Doug - Occasionally, your words are blanketed with doom and then a positive news flash jumpstarts your spirits. My sense is the media is busy wholesaling the virtues of Obama after the birth control gaffe. Historically a Whitehouse gaffe produces a sudden burst of polling data designed to neutralize the damage. I am a media skeptic. Michelle Obama was an angry, American hating, black women now the media has her picking flowers and baking cookies. Did she really change her colors? On November 3, 1980, I went to bed depressed after channels 2, 4, and 7 reported the Reagan/Carter election was too close to call. The next day, voters gave Reagan a huge victory. He won by more than eight million popular votes. Did the media get it wrong by design? I never trusted polling data again. As you may recall, one month ago the talking heads had Romney the presumptive nominee. Now, it appears they all got it wrong. I am predicting a huge Republican landslide in November. Men want to support their families not be supported by the government. I know that runs counter to the script the polling data is selling with 50% of the country receiving handouts. However, the Republican Platform still has not addressed affordable healthcare which, in my opinion, is the Achilles’ heel of the Party. Should healthcare spearhead the debates in the fall all bets are off.SSnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3776665703590564248.post-1928000989033931772012-02-19T19:10:06.478-05:002012-02-19T19:10:06.478-05:00Give the people what they want - free stuff - and ...Give the people what they want - free stuff - and they will vote for you.

General population does not want to hear words like spend less or cut deficits. They prefer "give me more."

Do not be surprised if Tea Party loses big in coming election - Congress has very low rating with the people and many will lose their seats.

It will take something, like what is happening in Greece to wake people up. Until then "give me more goodies wins."BZnoreply@blogger.com
