Responses - Red Skelton's High Stakes Drama

Thanks to all (not just) Fourth of July patriots who responded to the subject message re Red Skelton's interpretation in January 1969 of the meaning of the Pledge Of Allegiance. I am somewhat surprised that Red still has this many fans – although I shouldn't be when I consider the quality of the subscribers & readership of this blog. Hope you all remember that Red closed his shows by saying "And May God Bless" in such a sincere & simple way. These were the words that drew me to Mr. Skelton to begin with.

Thanks, Doug....what an appropriate time to share Red's heart rendering presentation of the Pledge of Allegiance! Happy 4th to you and Carol!

Thanks for sending it. Red Skelton was a real comedian. Too bad the country today is in such a mess.

Doug, I love his version of the pledge & my wife is a big fan of Red Skelton. Have a great 4th of July.

Thank you for this. He was one of my favorite comics. I wish we had some like him today!!
