About Me

In writing the "About Me" portion of this blog I thought about the purpose of the blog - namely, preventing the growth of Socialism & stopping the Death Of Democracy in the American Republic & returning her to the "liberty to abundance" stage of our history. One word descriptions of people's philosophies or purposes are quite often inadequate. I feel that I am "liberal" meaning that I am broad minded, independent, generous, hospitable, & magnanimous. Under these terms "liberal" is a perfectly good word that has been corrupted over the years to mean the person is a left-winger or as Mark Levin more accurately wrote in his book "Liberty & Tyranny" a "statist" - someone looking for government or state control of society. I am certainly not that & have dedicated the blog to fighting this. I believe that I find what I am when I consider whether or not I am a "conservative" & specifically when I ask what is it that I am trying to conserve? It is the libertarian principles that America was founded upon & originally followed. That is the Return To Excellence that this blog is named for & is all about.

The Best Way To Destroy America

Even the least discerning among us must have noticed that the fundamental values they grew up with have vanished from our society without a trace in sight.

Blocks in downtown Seattle are taken over by thugs & people & businesses in this area are left to fend for themselves while the over her head Democrat mayor (Jenny Durkan) calls it a block party in the summer of love after ordering the police to vacate the premises; that is until the protesters marched outside her multi-million dollar home – a march organized by the Seattle Chapter of the Democrat Socialists of America.

A man in Brighton, CO was handcuffed for playing ball with his wife & six year old daughter in an empty field; a paddle boarder alone on the ocean in Malibu was arrested; the mayor of Louisville, KY prohibited drive-thru church services in which people never left their cars but did not prohibit a multitude of other non-religious drive-ins & drive-thrus like drive-thru liquor stores; the newly elected Democrat KY governor Andy Beshear sent state police out to record license plates of people attending mass church services on Easter Sunday so the people could be contacted & forced to self quarantine for two weeks; & members of a church in Greenville, MS sitting in their cars with windows closed in the church parking lot listening to a church service on the radio, were asked to leave by police, & those who didn't were each served with $500 tickets.

Contrast these above violations of stay @ home orders, social distancing practices, & requirement to wear masks with the following photo that is representative of acceptable behavior in one Democrat controlled city after another under the pretense of protesting George Floyd's death – something these people had long ago forgotten all about.

The hostile anti-American media are obsessed with isolated deaths of people resisting arrest being killed by police – you can count these deaths on the fingers of a hand or two – yet there is no outcry or coverage of the record number of murders in Chicago & Baltimore year after year.  Cities like New York, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Philadelphia, & Atlanta, to name a few, have joined in the violence.  NYC had 205 shootings in June & Chicago had 27 homicides the week ending July 5 – & not a peep of concern.  Who would want to go to NYC to see a Broadway play or one of the museums or sports teams under these conditions?

But the most egregious example was NJ Governor Phil Murphy blatantly saying it was "above my pay grade" & that he "wasn't thinking of the Bill Of Rights when he implemented these bans" to work, assemble, associate, & worship.  Early on, on March 16 I heard Governor Murphy say if this pandemic wasn't as bad as forecast it was "on him" as if that meant anything tangible.

Studying the above examples you get the feeling not only that you cannot win but that you are going to lose thereby leaving you only one choice - to give up.

Doesn't that just seem wrong to you in America?

Independence Messages - July 4, 2020

"The United States was the first moral society in history.

"In its great era of capitalism, the United States was the freest country on earth - & the best refutation of racist theories.  Men of all races came here, some from obscure, culturally undistinguished countries, & accomplished feats of productive ability which would  have remained stillborn in their control-ridden native lands. Men of racial groups that had been slaughtering one another for centuries, learned to live together in harmony & peaceful cooperation.  America had been called "the melting pot," with good reason.  But few people realized that America did not melt men into the gray conformity of a collective: she united them by means of protecting their right to individuality." – Ayn Rand

"America is the best place on the planet to be Black, female, gay, trans . . ." – Ayaan Hirsi Ali in a tweet on June 9.

Oppression of all sorts has mostly been eliminated in America except for the sickening tyranny of human trafficking including that of children.  This post highlights this hidden form of slavery that exists all over the world today & presents a constructive mindset change regarding removing statues.

Click here to hear Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn explain that there are more individuals on the face of the earth in slavery today than ever before & many of them are being transported & marketed as children online in human trafficking & sex trafficking operations – something most Americans have no idea about.

Human trafficking is mostly a hidden crime in that it involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act in which the victim is afraid of both the trafficker & the police.  Traffickers look for people who are psychologically or emotionally vulnerable suffering economic hardship – people who are ripe for labor or commercial sexual exploitation.

The arrest Thursday of Ghislaine Maxwell on charges of recruiting underage women & training them for sex as a facilitator in disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein's years-long sex trafficking ring will bring this issue to national attention for a while.

But it can happen in any community & victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality.  It is estimated that up to 45 million people are trapped in some form of slavery today & whether it is called "Modern Day Slavery" or "Human Trafficking" it is @ all times slavery @ its core & people obsessed with the slavery that ended in America 155 years ago could much more positively & productively spend their time working on eliminating it.

The Department of Homeland Security provides telephone numbers to call to report suspected human trafficking or to get help from the national human trafficking hotline.  I called both of these numbers & they are useless.  If you need help go to your local police or a trusted friend or make a getaway & find such a friend.

A change of thinking or mindset change is required in the case of tearing down statues that represent our history.  Instead of looking for only bad or no good qualities whatsoever in the people represented by the statues, the previously oppressed could stand in front of statues or other representations of our history & explain to small children how far the oppressed have come – namely, because of America they are now free to make of their lives whatever they choose, something that never existed in the 6,000 years of human history before July 4, 1776 & that people from every corner of the world labor & yearn for a new life in America.  The formerly oppressed can stand in front of statues & teach the exact opposite lesson than what is being brainwashed today – namely, America gave everyone the freedom & opportunity for a life without oppression & that no other form of government, nation, or society had ever provided this to those previously oppressed in human history.
