About Me

In writing the "About Me" portion of this blog I thought about the purpose of the blog - namely, preventing the growth of Socialism & stopping the Death Of Democracy in the American Republic & returning her to the "liberty to abundance" stage of our history. One word descriptions of people's philosophies or purposes are quite often inadequate. I feel that I am "liberal" meaning that I am broad minded, independent, generous, hospitable, & magnanimous. Under these terms "liberal" is a perfectly good word that has been corrupted over the years to mean the person is a left-winger or as Mark Levin more accurately wrote in his book "Liberty & Tyranny" a "statist" - someone looking for government or state control of society. I am certainly not that & have dedicated the blog to fighting this. I believe that I find what I am when I consider whether or not I am a "conservative" & specifically when I ask what is it that I am trying to conserve? It is the libertarian principles that America was founded upon & originally followed. That is the Return To Excellence that this blog is named for & is all about.

The Education Connection To Income Inequality

The above graph reveals an almost quarter century problem that I have called Citizen Control Point #1 - provide seemingly free education through government schools where the graduates are little more than illiterate & not proficient in math or science.  See The Five Points Of Citizen Control for the other four.

It doesn't take much imagination to tie the above math & reading lack of proficiency results to the people on the street (in this case boardwalk) who are all too anxious to sign a petition supporting Karl Marx for president.

It is also easy to see the connection with these people & income inequality that BO constantly harps upon when you realize that 62% of 18 year olders cannot read with proficiency & 74% are inadequate in math.  The current technology economy naturally awards a larger share of its economic benefits on the educated than the industrial economy of yesteryear did.

Failure to maintain your ability to make a living is the surest way to fall into BO's trap of dependence on government programs from which you most likely will never escape.  The video on the above link appears to just scratch the surface of America's problems until you start to think about it – like understanding the graph below.

  1. Doug - your analysis is spot on. You cite the problem explicitly and with irrefutable evidence. The US is progressing to a Saul Alinsky variant of Marxism and will get there left unchecked. We need a prominent leader or journalist to call this out and to explain why this is destructive to our economy and freedoms. Who will be brave enough and persistent to start a growing outcry to reverse course? Surely this Marxist progression is evident to many.
